FLW examines a few potential summer additions the Swans could make in the upcoming weeks.

A summer regimen has been offered to Million Manhoef to ensure that he improves on how he concluded the Stoke City season.

After joining from Vitesse Arnhem at the close of the January transfer window, Stoke’s 22-year-old right winger has scored four goals in his previous three home games and was outstanding in an important road victory over Southampton. He has been candid in discussing the things he needs to do to win more duels and the lessons he has learnt from the Championship.

Additionally, head coach Steven Schumacher is aware that laying the foundation for consistency over the course of the upcoming term will require careful attention over the next few months.

“Million is getting stronger every game,” stated Schumacher. He had a tonne of confidence at the end of the season. He must now take a summer break, recuperate, and return in top physical condition because he must be able to perform on Saturdays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays whenever the fixtures are played. Compared to the Dutch league, this league is far more brutal than he is accustomed to. I’m hoping he has a productive off-season so we can witness his greatest work next year.

Additionally, Luke Cundle concluded the season in top form, playing a key role in the final three games that helped Stoke escape danger and place 17th overall.

The 22-year-old midfielder is currently making his way back to Wolves to determine the best course of action for his career. During Saturday’s victory against Bristol City, he and Wolves’ right-back Ki-Jana Hoever were being observed by Wolves loan manager Steve Davis in person.

“Cunds is a good footballer,” remarked Schumacher. He plays with a great deal of enthusiasm and passion. When he plays, he has an infectious quality similar to that of Million and Bae Junho. He makes people stand up from their chairs, which is what you want.

“I enjoy watching dynamic players, and Luke has demonstrated his abilities ever since we brought him back in the Hull game, I believe.

“The games, the way the games are played, the better pitches, and everything about it have suited him. He’s played brilliantly with Bae Junho and Enda Stevens on that side.”

Stevens and Stoke are negotiating a contract extension for him. The 33-year-old left-back’s debut season at Stoke has been hampered by injuries, but his play towards the conclusion of the campaign helped the Potters move up the standings.
