From the fifth team at Loughborough University, Thibaud Flament has advanced to the French national team and hopes to win the Champions Cup once more the following weekend.
After taking up the sport in Belgium, Flament, 27, moved from playing fly-half in BUCS Four to starting in the second row for France during the World Cup.
The 6′ 8″ lock/flanker joined Wasps in 2019 and played in 16 games before making a swift impression on Toulouse, a major player in Europe, in 2020. Since then, he has established himself as a mainstay in the star-studded pack of the five-time Champions Cup winners.
