The prop forward has emerged on Rovers’ radar in recent weeks.

Eribe Doro, a transfer target for Hull KR, had an afternoon to forget after receiving a red card this past weekend. The 23-year-old was involved in a tackle during the Bradford Bulls’ 36-24 victory over the Barrow Raiders in the Championship. Following the game, Bulls head coach Eamon O’Carroll acknowledged he wasn’t sure what had led to the player’s dismissal, despite reports in the media suggesting it was for violent conduct. Earlier this year, the Bulls boss named Doro the best player in the Championship, with his performances catching the attention of Hull KR coach Willie Peters.

Hull Live disclosed that Doro had become a target for the Robins in terms of recruitment, and Peters continued to show his respect for the player.

“I can tell you I’ve had my eye on him and I’ve watched him play,” Peters replied. “I like what I see, but once more, given where things are at, I can give you more in a few weeks. However, a few years ago, while I was in Australia, I took a look at Eribe. He’s a talented player, and I’ve followed him in the Championship.”

Doro played for the Warrington Wolves before moving on to represent the Widnes Vikings, Halifax Panthers, and Bulls after making four appearances for the team.
