After Arsenal defeated Liverpool on Sunday, Manchester United great Roy Keane assesses City’s Premier League title hopes.

According to Roy Keane, Arsenal and Liverpool will struggle to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League crown this season.

The Gunners beat Jurgen Klopp’s team 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday to close the gap on the league leaders. Mikel Arteta’s club are level with City on points, although City has two games in hand, starting with Monday’s match at Brentford (8pm).

Manchester United legend Keane was straightforward when questioned about City’s two nearest competitors’ title chances after Sunday’s meeting in North London. The former midfielder believes Kevin de Bruyne and Erling Haaland will help City win a fourth straight league title.“Having watched the game today and I know Liverpool had an off day, Arsenal were nice on the eye, but I still can’t see these two teams finishing above Man City, I just can’t,” he said on Sky.

You look at City with De Bruyne back and Haaland available, I don’t see them going right until the end. I don’t see them matching Man City.”

On Monday night, Pep Guardiola’s team will seek a ninth straight win at the Gtech Community Stadium. City play Everton at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, February 10, before facing Copenhagen in the Champions League knockout round three days later.
