Following the tragic death of former groundskeeper and kit manager Tam McCourt last week, the Easter Road side posted a photo and heartfelt tribute on social media.

Following the tragic death of a former club groundskeeper and kit manager, Hibs has paid homage to him. Both present and past players have also posted condolences on social media.

First employed as Easter Road’s groundskeeper, Tam McCourt passed away, the club said on Sunday. Numerous people paid homage to Tam on social media, a much-loved personality in and around the club and Edinburgh, and she was remembered by dozens.

Officials from Hibernian FC posted a photo of Tam in a room adorned with souvenirs from the team’s 2016 Scottish Cup victory. They said, “Everyone at Hibernian FC is devastated to hear of the passing of former groundsman and kit manager, Tam McCourt.” We are praying for Tam’s family and friends. Peace be with you.”

On social media, former Hibees like John McGinn, Grant Holt, and Dylan McGeouch paid their respects to Tam. Former striker Holt mentioned that Tam had taken care of him upon his arrival at the Edinburgh Club.

“So sad what a guy looked after me from the first day I arrived,” he stated in his post. He will definitely be missed for his big smile and awful jokes.”

After spending two years at Hibs from 2007 to 2009, Filipe Morias also left a comment on his old teammate’s Facebook, praising him as a “great character around the club.”

“I’m so sorry to hear about this,” he replied. All of the players liked Tam, and she loved Hibs in return. She is a wonderful person in the club, full of humor and a constant willingness to lend a helping hand. His wife, Joyce, and the rest of his family, friends, and loved ones are in my thoughts and prayers. Tam, rest in peace.
