Ex-Hull FC boss hits back at Leeds Rhinos fans that want Rohan Smith sacked

PRIOR Tony Smith, the head coach of Hull FC, has responded to the Leeds Rhinos’ demand for the dismissal of Rohan Smith.

Tony’s former team Hull hosted Tony as a guest on Sky Sports to monitor the match, and Rohan led Leeds to a miserable 18-10 loss there over the weekend. Following the Rhinos’ seventh loss in their previous 14 games in 2024, Leeds supporters have called for Rohan to be fired.

Tony thinks that the fans should lower their standards, nevertheless.

Smith remarked, “Well, I know what these people here are expecting and wanting. They have a strong desire, and once you’ve had some success like Leeds Rhinos have, you kind of want it all the time, you want it.” Indeed, people want badly if expecting equates to wanting badly. However, I don’t think they currently have a team that can win the competition. Thus, they must lower their standards.

Many young men are destined to become excellent rugby league players; in fact, many of them already are, but it takes time for them to develop.
