According to reports, Simon Grayson, the former manager of Leeds United, Huddersfield Town, and Bradford City, is in talks to take over as the new manager of the India national team.
The 54-year-old head coach of Bengaluru in the Indian Super League was his most recent management position. During his leadership, the team won the Durand Cup and finished second in both the Indian Super League and the Indian Super Cup.

After parting ways with Bengaluru in December, Grayson might be headed back to the dugout. Football Insider reports that initial discussions have begun about Grayson managing the Indian national squad.

Should he secure the position, he would take over for the recently fired Igor Stimac.

Having played for many of the clubs in Yorkshire, Grayson is a well-known figure there. He progressed through Leeds’ youth system before playing for Bradford and Sheffield Wednesday.

After hanging up his boots, he managed the Whites and the Bantams and later managed Huddersfield for four years. Grayson managed Blackpool and Preston North End in addition to overseeing promotions from League One with Leeds and Huddersfield.

Among his previous clubs are Fleetwood Town and Sunderland.
