Emergency services arrived on the scene at 2.05 am, and four fire engines from the Blackpool Fire Station, one from South Shore, and one from Bispham responded to the incident.
After locating the smoke source with the aid of one triple extension ladder and two thermal imaging cameras, crews were held for about ninety minutes while they attempted to contain and put out a commercial building fire on Blackpool Promenade.
Eight individuals were found in the building; they were taken to the hospital and a child died before getting thier paramedic report
