A crucial aspect of Barcelona’s summer team-building will involve securing the departure of a few first-team players who might not be very valuable to the group or who are easily replaceable.

Ferran Torres and Raphinha are reportedly the two names Barcelona has in mind, according to a recent SPORT report.

Despite the versatility and dedication both players bring to the table, the Catalans are expected to consider offers for them.

A familiar hurdle for Barcelona

Nevertheless, the previously mentioned report also states that neither Raphinha nor Ferran want to leave the club.

The Catalans face a challenge that they are accustomed to by now—the players’ unwillingness to leave.

Many first-team players have recently expressed no desire to leave Barcelona, in part due to the high salaries they receive from the organization.

Given that neither Raphinha nor Ferran are among the highest-paid players at Barça, the same may not always be true. In fact, two years ago, Raphinha turned down very generous offers in order to join Barcelona.

However, it doesn’t seem like either of them fits into Hansi Flick’s plans, and considering their market value, Barça must approve their departures by the upcoming summer.

Their sales will undoubtedly assist Barcelona in getting back to the 1:1 rule, which will be crucial in enabling the team to add more players during the summer transfer window.

No shortage of suitors

The fact that numerous teams are vying for the services of both players suggests that they have a high market value, which could be advantageous for Barcelona.

While Raphinha is well-connected in England, West Ham United, a Premier League team, has been linked to a move for Ferran. However, the player’s willingness to relocate could be a determining factor in negotiations with possible buyers. It will be intriguing to watch how this story unfolds over the next few weeks as a result.
