After a young mother of two was strangled and her body was left in a caravan, her ex-boyfriend is now facing murder charges.
When paramedics were summoned to a residence in Bradford, West Yorkshire, on Monday evening, they discovered 22-year-old Jade Watson dead.
James Grey, 25, was later detained by police on suspicion of carrying out the attack, and this morning he was charged.
Ella, age 2, and Jacob, age 4, are the children of Miss Watson, who was employed at a fish and chip store in Bradford.
Daniel Tonge, the 28-year-old father of the children, is reportedly “distraught” over the loss of their mother and is afraid to inform the toddlers of it.
John Tonge, 35, the brother of Daniel, said, “I’ve known Jade for about eight years; she was a lovely lass and a great mum,” as he placed flowers at the scene yesterday.
After five years of dating, Daniel and Jade produced two adorable children that they both adored. They are currently under the care of Jade’s mother.
Jade’s on-again, off-again boyfriend is James Grey. I just know that she died and that James was taken into custody; I have no idea what she was doing at his residence or what transpired there.
Per Mr. Tonge, his brother is inconsolable.
Mr. Tonge stated, “Daniel is extremely quiet. He is in shock and knows he has to tell Jacob and Ella that their mother is no longer here.”
