Wrexham may soon have a third summer signing to announce as Phil Parkinson continues to mould his squad for the League One campaign.

It took a while for summer transfer business to really get going but Wrexham now have two deals done and dusted.

Goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo was the first to join, penning a permanent deal with Wrexham after a superb loan spell last term.

Okonkwo left Arsenal at the end of his contract this summer and marked a major coup for Wrexham by agreeing to join permanently.

Wrexham followed up that deal by signing defender Lewis Brunt from Leicester City in another permanent deal.

Brunt impressed on loan at Mansfield Town last season and Wrexham have been able to bring him to the STōK Cae Ras for an undisclosed fee.

Wrexham are though being linked with a proven League One midfielder with George Dobson believed to be on the wish list.

Reporter Darren Witcoop claims That Wrexham ‘appear to have won’ the race to sign midfielder Dobson.

Birmingham City were keen but Witcoop believes that Dobson is now heading to Wrexham instead.

That is a real win for Wrexham, who actually made a bid to sign Dobson on transfer deadline day last summer.
