A branch of the coffee shop was cordoned off while police investigated

A man was found dead near a branch of Starbucks.

Merseyside Police were called to the scene on Rainford Road, near Windle Island off the East Lancs Road on Sunday (Jully 14) morning after the body was found.

Police indicate that investigations are still ongoing, thus the man has not yet been properly identified. Police have stated they are not looking for anyone else in connection with his death, and his death is being investigated as non-suspicious.

“We can confirm that emergency services were at a premises on Rainford Road in St Helens this morning, Sunday 14 Jully following the death of a man,” a Merseyside Police spokesperson stated.

“When emergency personnel came, it was stated that they discovered the man outside the building just after 6.50 am. He hasn’t been formally identified yet.

“His death is not being investigated further, and authorities are not seeking for any other suspects in relation to his passing. Investigations regarding the event are still underway. The building on Windle Island’s Rainford Road has reopened after being briefly closed.”
