Man pronounced dead after Dartford Crossing police incident

All morning, the QEII Bridge was blocked.

As of Tuesday morning, police have verified that a man has passed away as a result of an incident at the Dartford Crossing. At about nine in the morning, concerns of a man’s welfare prompted a significant emergency service response to the QEII Bridge.

Throughout the morning, the bridge remained completely closed while emergency personnel responded to the site. “Officers were called to the QEII bridge at around 9am this morning (7 May) following a concern for welfare report,” an Essex Police spokesperson has since stated.

Sadly, a guy was declared dead at the site while emergency personnel were on the scene. His relatives are conscious of this.

Since then, the QEII Bridge has been fully reopened. Travel conditions on the M25 clockwise and the A282 at the Dartford Crossing have finally reverted to normal, following the clearing of the earlier heavy traffic and delays.
