The Lancashire Post has learned that Preston North End has not received a bid for striker Milutin Osmajic from any team.
Over the past few days, a lot of conjecture has been circulating around the Montenegro international. There have been whispers that Osmajic, who joined the Lilywhites just a year ago, would go this summer. For the forward from Cadiz, North End paid a club record sum in August of last year, estimated to be around £2.1 million.
At the time, Stoke City, CSKA Moscow, and Hellas Verona were mentioned as having expressed interest. And there have been recent discussions among the Deepdale devotees about a potential shift to the latter. According to PNE sources, no club has made an attempt to sign the 24-year-old, who hasn’t indicated that he’s unhappy or that he wants to go either.
Throughout his 36 league games last season, Osmajic assisted on two goals and scored eight goals in the Championship. That featured a hat-trick in eight minutes at Deepdale against Huddersfield Town. Due to a back problem, the 23-cap international was unable to play in last week’s Southport friendly and was completely absent from the Bamber Bridge friendly the following day. However, Lowe stated on Thursday of last week that he anticipated the number 28 to participate in some training at Euxton.
