There is four miles of traffic jam and a crash on the M2 in Kent that is headed towards London, drivers have been alerted. According to National Highways, drivers ought to approach the area cautiously.
Due to an accident before the J5 A249 (Sittingbourne/Stockbury roundabout), part of the M2 is stopped and traffic is backed up.
The traffic tracking website Inrix reports that after being stopped for almost ten minutes, traffic is now moving forward. KentLive has contacted Kent Police to get further information.

According to National Highways, all lanes are open on the M2 westbound between J6 (Faversham) and J5 (Sittingbourne) after the collision’s aftermath was cleared. Although there is still congestion, it is getting less.
