The first Saturday of the 2024–2025 Premier League season is exactly two weeks away, a period of time that should worry teams at all points of the standings. In order to incorporate new acquisitions into squads in time for the start of the season, teams will need to step up their transfer efforts during the following few days.
As the transfer window closes, North London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal are expected to be shopping in the same market, with Ange Postecoglou and Mikel Arteta prioritizing the acquisition of a forward. Both Manchester United and Chelsea went into this summer with plans of major overhauls, and both clubs are in the midst of those rebuilds.
Liverpool hasn’t made a move in the transfer season yet, but Arne Slot’s team appears to be planning a late attack given rumors that four acquisitions are expected to be considered. A number of celebrities, like Joe Gomez and Wataru Endo, have been connected to Anfield exits. If replacements are not lined up, this would leave significant holes in the squad.
