The name of the cyclist who lost their life after colliding with an automobile on a major Northampton route has been released.
On Thursday, June 20, at approximately 5.45 a.m., a collision occurred on the westbound carriageway of A4500 (Weedon Road), close to the intersection with Upton Valley Way North.

The rider of a blue/black bicycle and the driver of a white VW Golf are said to have collided, according to Northamptonshire Police.

Northamptonshire Police have now identified the rider as Emanuel Negrusa, a 26-year-old resident of Northampton. Sadly, he passed away right away.

At the scene, there are banners urging people to “keep your loved ones safe.” Say something. They ask anyone with knowledge to get in touch with the authorities.

The A4500 would have been busy at this time of day, according to officers from the Serious crash Investigation Unit. They are interested in speaking with anyone who may have dash cam footage showing the Golf or the bicycle before the crash.
