The post mortem examinations of the two girls were conducted yesterday, but the results are still pending. Acting Police Inspector Donna West of Wiltshire Police stated: “This is a tragic incident and we appreciate that mourners want to leave flowers at the site. However, we are asking people to park on Watermead, Stratton and then walk over to the bottom of the grass verge where the two young victims died. Our investigation continues but we must be aware of the safety of all those who wish to lay flowers and it is dangerous to walk along the A419 as there is no hard shoulder.”
