Homegrown striker Shanyder Borgelin has been transferred by Inter Miami CF to Vendsyssel FF of the Danish second level, the club announced on Thursday.
Miami also holds a sell-on percentage in the 22-year-old international from Haiti.
Chief football officer and sporting director Chris Henderson said in a release, “We would like to thank Shanyder for his contributions to the dlub on and off the pitch, and wish him the best in his next step in Denmark.”
“We’re proud to have contributed to his development through his path with Inter Miami CF II through to the first team, and look forward to seeing him continue excelling and representing South Florida in this next stage of his career abroad.”
Originally from the Philadelphia Union academy, Borgelin leaves after being promoted from the Herons’ MLS NEXT Pro club in 2023. He has one goal in 16 games.
He is the second Miami product to depart on a permanent transfer in the past month, after Edison Azcona joined the Las Vegas Lights of the USL Championship.
Leading supporters’ shield team Miami has the best record in the league (16W-4L-5D; 53 points). They are currently defending their League Cup victory from 2023.
