At around 4.15pm on Wednesday, emergency services including medics and police were called to a crash involving two vehicles on Telford Road, near McDonald’s.

It is understood there were no reports of casualties.
According to the police, a driver received a fixed penalty notice for a “road traffic offence.” At the time, EdinTravel advised motorists to “take caution” when approaching the region as traffic was expected to increase.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called to a report of a two-vehicle crash on Telford Road, Edinburgh, around 4.15pm on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
“One driver was issued with a fixed penalty notice for a road traffic offence.
