After a car rolled in Canterbury, three persons were killed and two injured.
According to authorities, the two men and a woman were discovered dead at the scene of the Leeston collision on Monday morning close to the intersection of Harts Road and Southbridge Sedgemere Road.
At 2:20 a.m., emergency personnel called the police, and they took the two injured parties—one of whom had significant injuries—to the hospital.
The holiday road toll now stands at seven due to the accident. A man lost his life in a collision in the Wairapa on Christmas Day, a lady and a toddler perished in a bus crash south of Gisborne on Christmas Eve, and a woman died after being struck by a car in Takapuna on Friday night.
