Motorists are facing severe delays on the M25 heading clockwise near to the Dartford Crossing due to an earlier accident. There has been an accident at the M25 Queen Elizabeth II Bridge which has resulted in long queues.

Lanes have now been reopened but there remain long delays on the approach to the key bridge connecting Essex and Kent. There is congestion to all approaches at Mardyke Junction and around Lakeside Retail Park.

National Highways said there had been a three-car collision and National Highways and police were in attendance. There was four miles of congestion on the approach.
