According to National Highways England, there will be several motorway closures this weekend that may affect drivers in Hampshire.
These will be along the M3, M27 and M271 roads during the early hours of the morning.
If you’re planning to travel along these roads from Southampton it would be best to take note of different diversions that may be in place.
Here are the closures along the M3, M27 and M271 that will be in place during the weekend of Friday, August 16 to Sunday, August 18.
M3
On the M3 southbound way, there will be an A303 westbound link road closure between 9pm and 6am for barrier works.
Additionally, there will be an entry slip road closure at Junction 4 for major improvement work at the same time.
M27
On the M27 eastbound way, there will be exit and entry slip road closures at Junction 5 and Junction 7, alongside an exit slip road closure at Junction 8.
These will take place from 10pm to 5.30am for major resurfacing work.
M271
There are no closures scheduled for the M271 on this day.
