In the 2024 Panini Rising Stars, Memphis Grizzlies guard Vince Williams Jr. will replace injured New Orleans Pelicans player Dyson Daniels for Team Tamika.

The annual display of elite young talent at NBA All-Star will take place on Friday, February 16 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, and will be broadcast live on TNT and ESPN Radio in the United States at 9 p.m. ET.

Williams will be participating in Panini Rising Stars for the first time. Williams, 6-4, is a second-year NBA player and the 47th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. He averages 9.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 26.0 minutes per game in 41 games this season.

Williams has averaged 16.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.38 steals in 34.6 minutes over his previous 13 games, shooting 50.3% from the field and 42.3% from three. He signed a multi-year contract with the Grizzlies on January 10, after beginning the season on a two-way contract.

Daniels, a second-year NBA player, will not compete in Panini Rising Stars since the Pelicans confirmed today that he has a ruptured lateral meniscus in his left knee. The 6-7 Daniels was voted into the Rising Stars player pool by NBA assistant coaches and chosen in the Rising Stars Draft by 10-time WNBA All-Star and Indiana Fever great Tamika Catchings, Team Tamika’s honorary head coach. Daniels, an Australian native, competed for the NBA G League Ignite in the 2022 Rising Stars.

The 2024 Panini Rising Stars will consist of chosen NBA rookies and sophomores, as well as NBA G League players, competing in a four-team mini-tournament with all three games decided by a Final Target Score.
