TORONTO — According to Toronto police, one person is dead following a stabbing that occurred on Saturday night in the east part of the city.
At approximately 6:45 p.m., police in Scarborough are reported to have responded to a stabbing report at Brimley Road and McNicoll Avenue.
Emergency personnel allegedly discovered a man who was critically injured and made an effort to save his life, but he was declared dead on the spot.
According to Duty Inspector Jeff Bassingthwaite, there is no threat to public safety in the opinion of the police.
The victim’s identification and a description of the suspect have not been made public by the police.
Anyone with information or video evidence is asked to get in touch with investigators by the police.
