Huddersfield Town coach statment about injury update round up ahead

Tomorrow, Huddersfield Town will play Barnsley in their League One return.

Josh Koroma, who was unable to start against Birmingham City because of a “bad back,” will be evaluated before tomorrow’s match against Barnsley, according to Huddersfield Town head coach Michael Duff.

In Tuesday’s 1-0 loss at St Andrew’s, the 25-year-old was benched; the forward was substituted for the last 30 minutes of the midweek setback. Duff stated that he will have to make another choice this coming weekend on whether or not to allow Town’s leading scorer to start the Yorkshire derby.

Josh Koroma didn’t start the other day because he had a little back ailment. At his press conference yesterday, Duff stated, “We’ll have to see where that’s at.” “He trained today, but the real test is whether we can handle the pain.”

The manager of the Terriers also said that Danny Ward and Rhys Healey, two other forwards, have resumed training but will not play this weekend. “Though they’re still not ready for the weekend, Rhys Healey and Danny Ward’s return to the grass today is encouraging,” Duff remarked.

Duff continued, “Healey has had a day of training today, so he’s joined in fully.” After completing his rehabilitation, of course, they work for a block of time. We just need to make sure that we don’t put him in out of desperation because if he can’t deliver the greatest version of himself, it won’t be fair to either him or the team.

“He’s a good player, we know he’s a good player, but we’ve got to keep him on the grass. After a day of training, we’ll check in with him the following week.

“Herbie Kane is a talented player, as I am aware. In the one, if not the two, games they won that day, we most likely pushed him in a little too fast against Blackpool. We’ve acknowledged that we most likely chose the incorrect team and assembled the squad incorrectly, and that Herbie was perhaps treated unfairly when we entered the game.

“This football team will benefit from having Herbie Kane as a player. He’s a good football player, regardless of the formation we choose to play, who is in control, who isn’t, who is in front of him, or who is behind him.

All we have to do is give him a chance so he can offer the greatest version of himself.
