At 4:23 p.m. on Friday, 11 emergency services received a report of an accident on Trunk Road in Grangetown, close to the intersection with Greystone Road.
A paramedic ambulance from the North East Ambulance Service was sent to the scene, where a person with hip and leg injuries was treated before being transported to a hospital.
“We received a call at 16.23 today (8 AUG) regarding a road traffic collision on the Trunk Road in Grangetown near the junction to Greystone Road,” a North East Ambulance Service spokeswoman stated.
“After a motorbike and a car collided, we sent out a paramedic ambulance to treat one patient. A patient with injuries to their legs and hips was brought to James Cook Hospital.
“Officers have closed Trunk Road westbound and eastbound as well as the Teesport roundabout due to a road traffic collision,” a Cleveland Police spokesperson had earlier stated.
“While the matter is being handled, drivers are asked to stay away from the area. I appreciate your patience.
Since then, the road has cleared.
