A summer addition made by Brendan Rodgers is expected to depart the club in the summer, putting Celtic’s summer hiring under criticism once more.

As the Celtic supporters seen players like Hyeokkyu Kwon and Marco Tilio depart in January, the Hoops manager has cut a number of players he gave his approval to during the summer transfer window.

Another player who was granted permission to look for a new club before Cameron Carter-Vickers’ injury put a halt to it was Gustaf Lagerbielke.

Another is now expected to go during the upcoming transfer window. Maik Nawrocki, a “unhappy” defender who suffers in Paradise, may be allowed to go on loan, according to former Celtic legend Dariusz Dziekanowski.

“I thought Nawrocki played quite well in the first few weeks but unfortunately got injured,” Dziekanowski stated [Daily Record].

“It has been challenging for him to return to the starting lineup, but it took him some time to get healthy.”

“It’s his own hands, but I know he’ll be upset about not playing, as any player would be.”He has a great opportunity to play for a major club.

I find it hard to explain why he isn’t always on the pitch. Even for supporters, it’s challenging.

“They might ask, ‘Why doesn’t this player play? We paid a lot of money for him.'” However, the manager will watch his development and his performance in both practice and competition.

“He will be learning from his excellent boss there. Celtic has a strategy for him, I’m sure. He might be added to the squad gradually or sent on loan for six months before returning stronger.

Maik Nawrocki’s prospects at Celtic

Who knows what the former Polish U21 international’s future holds? Nawrocki must be utterly perplexed at seeing a dream move to Celtic turn bad in such a short amount of time.

It has been questioned whether Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers even wanted the player, given that he spent £4.3 million on him in the summer and then hardly played for the squad.

This season, the 23-year-old has made just nine appearances for Celtic, totaling just 571 minutes of playing time. [Transfermarket]

For a player who was the club’s most costly acquisition of the summer transfer window, it’s not a fantastic return.

Is Nawrocki going to make an appearance this season? The answer to that question is only known by Brendan Rodgers, but given how the Pole has been deployed thus far, it seems quite improbable.
