Due to a serious hamstring injury, Bristol City forward Sam Bell will be sidelined for the remainder of the campaign.

This season, the 21-year-old has made 33 appearances for the Robins and netted five goals.

After 26 minutes of Saturday’s 1-0 loss to QPR, he left the game.

“He’s picked up a really bad hamstring injury, he’s going to be out for the rest of the season unfortunately and he’s going to require surgery,” Liam Manning, the Robins manager, said.

Bell, who was born in Bristol, has been with the team since he was 12 years old and has started every game this year, primarily as an attacking winger.
