George Evans and James Jones of Wrexham would likely be sidelined for extended periods of time due to injuries, while Phil Parkinson has had “quite serious” ailments.
Evans was noticeably absent from the following games against Notts County and Milton Keynes Dons, while managing to play 64 minutes against Sutton United. Parkinson will have to field an unknown midfield lineup for the Dons match after Jones sustained a late injury during the Notts County match. Parkinson has now disclosed that these have serious injuries that will keep the two out of commission for an extended amount of time.
Parkinson told reporters, “Unfortunately for us, both look pretty serious.” Although there have been setbacks in that area, that is the nature of things, and we will need to deal with it.
Andy Cannon started the match in midfield against Dons, joined by Luke Young, James McClean, and Elliot Lee, who entered the game in the second half.
On his 250th appearance for the team at Stadium MK, Young showed his readiness and gave an outstanding effort despite not being a regular starter this season. Parkinson praised his input and said, “I’m happy for Luke.” Luke sets a terrific example for other aspiring young athletes by demonstrating that you never know when you will be needed.
When you are not playing and occasionally not on the bench, it can be discouraging, but it’s crucial that you’re prepared to seize the opportunity when it presents itself. Luke did a great job clearing himself. He scored the goal, put out a great battle in the midfield, and led the team in forward motion from the right side.

Lee has been the most active player for Wrexham so far this season. Parkinson disclosed that Lee was used as a substitute against Dons to give him a little respite, but he is still available for Gillingham.
“Elliot has played more minutes than any other player,” he stated.
“I simply thought that playing him again would put him at risk of possibly suffering a little injury after he gave it his all over the weekend and the midweek game at Sutton.
“Considering the injuries we now have, I didn’t want to take that chance. Elliot was amazing when he entered the game after I told him it would be excellent for him to come on after the game had opened for 60 minutes.
The dual injury blow presents a big obstacle for Wrexham in their quest for a second straight promotion. With a game remaining, the Red Dragons are now three points behind Stockport, who are leading the league.
