Tony Brown said it’s a massive blow for West Brom that Brandon Thomas-Asante is set to miss up to five weeks with a hamstring injury.

Prior to Saturday’s (February 24, 12:09 am) Baggies matchup versus Hull City, the analyst on BBC Radio WM acknowledged that the difficulty facing Carlos Corberan’s team is that all of the injuries sustained recently appear to have been to strikers after the 25-year-old’s incident.

He said that Albion needs their front players as they aim to advance this season, stating that all of the injuries are serious and won’t go away in a few days or weeks.

It’s quite the blow, isn’t it?” Brown remarked. They’ve had a number of injuries, but we’ve already discussed them. The issue is that they all appear to be strikers. One after the other, just when we had strikers back to full fitness and playing, they started to have injuries.

These are long-lasting injuries, not just ones that go away after a few days or weeks. That’s a huge setback for Carlos Corberan because you need your front players and your objectives to try to be promoted at the conclusion of the season.

West Brom misses out on an injury break.

To add to the litany of injuries that West Brom’s attacking players have sustained this season is yet another setback.

This season, it seems like every one of their forwards has had some kind of problem, which has left Corberan without many choices at different times.

The Baggies’ squad will be stretched more over the coming weeks due to Thomas-Asante’s injury, but the Spanish manager, who has excelled at adapting this season, will attempt to find a way to adjust.

The forward, who leads the line every week despite not being the most prolific scorer in front of goal, will simply have to hope that his team’s goals don’t dry up.

The Albion manager will be optimistic that his team can overcome yet another obstacle in their pursuit of promotion, as they have already overcome a number of them this season.
