Right now in the season, Paul Mullin is starting to find his form.

At The Mazuma Stadium on Saturday, Wrexham overcame a 1-1 deficit to defeat Morecambe 3-1 and keep up their promotion challenge in League Two. The prolific striker scored for the third straight game.

Mullin, who also assisted on James McClean’s equaliser, has scored five goals in the last three games after going eight games without one earlier.

With a hat-trick in the 4-0 victory over Accrington Stanley at the beginning of March, leading scorer Mullin has scored 17 goals this season and is getting close to reaching the century mark for Wrexham thanks to his outstanding strike rate.
The 29-year-old has 96 goals in all competitions since moving from Cambridge United to The Racecourse in July 2021.

Mullin and Billy Ashcroft share ninth place on Wrexham’s all-time scoring list. Mullin’s next target will be Albert Kinsey, who scored 99 goals and is currently the eighth highest scorer for the Reds.

Mullin’s relentless scoring against the Shrimps will drive Morecambe crazy.

With his goal on Saturday, Mullin has now scored nine goals against his former club, Morecambe, in his last four games.

When Mullin scored a hat-trick in the 6-0 victory in November, Phil Parkinson’s team achieved their best result of the year.

Mullin also put Morecambe to shame before joining the Reds, winning the League Two Golden Boot during Cambridge’s 2020–21 promotion run.

The forward scored twice in a 2-1 victory at home and three goals in a 5-0 victory away at Morecambe.
