The Bluebirds’ manager, who attempts to select the appropriate team for each game, is a strong proponent of horses for courses.

For the most part of the season, that has served them well; as of right now, the Cumbrians are only six points off of an automatic promotion spot in League Two and sit sixth in the table.

Despite the fact that some managers may find it challenging to maintain team support, Wild has been pleased with the way the players have embraced the changes he has made throughout the season.

“Despite their frustration, I believe there is trust among the players because they all want to play.”

They all deserve to play, so I understand that.

However, because of that trust factor, they are aware that we are working to achieve the best results for the squad and the team.

“I believe they realise that the squad performs well if the playing team performs well.

That approach has truly been embraced by everyone, and I’m extremely happy about that.

Wild asserts that he is always honest with the players and that there is no true secret to making that process work.

“I just need to be straightforward with them and explain why, and once they understand that, they can put in their best effort to rejoin the team,” he continued.

“I believe that when we have selected individuals for the proper games, it has paid off 95% of the time.

“And another really satisfying thing is that, for the most part, boys have seized their opportunities when they have been presented with them.

I keep saying to them, “I can’t tell you when your chance is is going to come, but you best be ready when it does.

“I believe that this season’s larger squad has demonstrated how crucial having options has been.

And I have no doubt that we will require each and every one of them by the time the season ends.

We have a strong group of players here, and I believe that experience also goes a long way.

“We are all committed to being the greatest versions of ourselves and Barrow, and we are all pulling in the same direction.

There will inevitably be difficulties and setbacks, as I have stated previously; what matters is how you handle them or overcome them.

And this squad, for the most part has done exactly that and long may it continue.”
