Drivers in and around Luton will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
A1081, from 10 p.m. on October 2, 2023, until 5 a.m. on March 30, 2024, there will be mild delays (10–30 minutes): M1 in both directions, junction 10 to junction 13 – National Highways will be implementing lane closures, exit and entrance slip road closures, and drainage channel diversion.
A1081, from 10 p.m. from November 13, 2023, until 5 a.m. on September 30, 2025, there will be moderate delays (10–30 minutes): carriageway closures, lane closures, limited lanes, and speed limits for National Highways construction improvement/upgrade at M1 southbound, junction 14 to junction 10.
And during the following two weeks, the following shutdown will start: A1081, with minor delays (less than ten minutes) from 9 p.m. on March 26 to 5 a.m. on March 27: New Airport Way to M1 southbound at junction 10 on A1081 westbound is closed to traffic for a National Highways inspection/survey.
