Two men have been charged following a firearms discharge in Bolton.

It happened over a week ago at an address on Mercia Street.

27-year-old Levi Cull from Normanby Street, is accused of attempted murder and possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.

22-year-old Jenson McNally of Towers Avenue is accused of the same charges.

Both men have been remanded in custody ahead of a scheduled appearance at Manchester Magistrates Court today (Saturday 30 March 2024).

Police were called to  Mercia Street, Bolton, on Thursday 21 March 2024.

Levi Cull, 27, of Normanby Street, Bolton, has been charged with, threats to kill, attempted murder, affray, and possess a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Jenson McNally, 22,  of Towers Avenue, Bolton, has been charged with attempted murder, affray, and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Both men have been remanded in custody ahead of a scheduled appearance at Manchester Magistrates Court on Saturday 30 March 2024.

The Bolton News last week detailed an incident that happened on March 21 on Mercia Street.

“Extra neighbourhood patrol officers have been deployed around the local area both on foot and in cars, and our officers will be happy to provide reassurance and listen to any of your queries,” stated Chief Inspector Justine Topping of the GMP’s Bolton District.
