Man seriously in condition in four-car collision on the A5 in Hockliffe

A man was left seriously injured after being involved in a four-car collision on the A5 in Hockliffe last night (March 27).

Police believe the collision, which happened on Watling Street at around 8.20pm, happened after a deer ran into the road.

The guy and woman in their 20s who were the driver and passenger of a black Toyota Yaris were sent to Addenbrooke’s hospital. While the woman only had minor wounds and was later discharged from the hospital, the man required medical attention for serious injuries.
A silver Ford Fiesta’s driver was also brought to the hospital, where he received treatment for minor wounds.

“We are interested in speaking to anyone who saw this incident or who may have captured it on dashcam as we piece together exactly what happened,” stated Road Policing Unit Police Sergeant Stephanie Corletto.
