A 51-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash on the A38

After suffering potentially fatal injuries in an accident on the A38, a man has passed away. Following a catastrophic lorry incident on the A38, Deep Lane on Wednesday, March 27, a 51-year-old man was rushed to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth; however, he has since passed away.

At 8:05 p.m. on March 27, police received reports of a significant crash on the A38. At Plymouth’s Deep Lane, a blue Vauxhall Corsa and a MAN truck collided on the A38’s westbound carriageway.

A man was rushed to a hospital after the incident with potentially fatal injuries. Regretfully, he passed away. His family members have been notified.

For five hours, the A38 was partially blocked while investigators examined the area. Witnesses are still being urged by officers to come forward.
