Two boys, both aged 12, deny murdering 19-year-old Shawn Seesahai
A 12-year-old child who is being charged with murder has acknowledged having a machete at the scene. The young person, whose age prevents him from being named for legal reasons, acknowledged bringing the knife to Wolverhampton.
Today, Monday, April 8, he made an appearance at Wolverhampton Crown Court with another 12-year-old kid. The two young people denied killing Shawn Seesahai, a 19-year-old.
Then, on November 13, one of the lads acknowledged having a machete at Stowland Playground ‘without good reason or legitimate authority’. The identical charge was refuted by his co-defendant.
They will now be put on trial at Nottingham Crown Court on April 29 for a maximum of four weeks. Throughout the hour-long session, the lads only spoke to verify their identities and make their pleas.
Following reports of a stabbing that occurred shortly after 8.40 p.m. on November 13, 2018, emergency personnel raced to the Stowlawn Playing Fields, which are located off Laburnum Road in East Park. Paramedics declared Mr. Seesahai dead after they were unable to save him.
The court heard that the accused are being detained in safe quarters outside of the West Midlands.
