This week, motorists will have to dodge 17 road closures on the National Highways network.
Two of them are expected to cause delays lasting between 10 minutes and half an hour.
Many of the closures are for verge cutting and planting on behalf of National Highways, while others are for maintenance or renewal works.
• A5, from 8 p.m. April 4 to 6 a.m. April 13, moderate delays (less than 10 minutes): A5 both directions, Kelly’s Kitchen Roundabout to Old Stratford Roundabout – lane closures due to barrier – Ringway permanent construction.
• M1, until April 13, minimal delays (less than 10 minutes): M1 both directions, Junction 13 to Hartwell – lane closures due to National Highways drainage work.
• A5, from 10 p.m. April 8 to 6 a.m. April 9, minimal delays (less than 10 minutes): A5 both directions, A4146 Caldecott Interchange Roundabout to Old Stratford Roundabout.
• A421, minor delays from 10 p.m. April 9 to 5 a.m. April 10: M1 southbound, junction 14 – exit slip road closure, lane closure, and diversion route.
• From 10 p.m. on April 9 to 5 a.m. on April 10, there will be mild delays on M1 northbound between junctions 14 and 15.
• A5, Brickhill to Old Stratford, from 8 p.m. on April 11 to 5 a.m. on April 20, will have mild delays.
• A5 southbound, A509 to Bletcham Way, will experience slight delays from 8 p.m. on April 11 to 5 a.m. on April 12.
• A5, from 8 p.m. April 12 to 5 a.m. April 13 (slight delays): A5 southbound, Redmoor to Kelly’s Kitchen – exit and entry slip road closures, lane closures, and diversion route.
• Minor delays on A5 southbound at Little Brickhill from 8 p.m. on April 15 to 5 a.m. on April 16 due to exit and entry slip road closures, lane closures, and diversion routes.
• From 8 p.m. on April 15 to 6 a.m. on April 18, there will be considerable delays (10-30 minutes) on A5 in both directions, from Redmoor Roundabout to Kellys Kitchen Roundabout, due to carriageway closures, lane closures, and diversion routes.
• A5, from 8 p.m. on April 15 to 6 a.m. on April 27, expect substantial delays (10-30 minutes) in both directions from Thorn Roundabout to Kellys Kitchen Roundabout due to lane closures.
• A5, from 8pm April 16 to 5am April 17, slight delays: A5 northbound, Little Brickhill – exit and entry slip road closures, lane closure and diversion routes.
• M1, from 10pm April 16 to 5am April 17, slight delays: M1 northbound,, junction 14 to junction 15 – lane closure for carriageway..
• A5, from 8pm April 17 to 5am April 18, slight delays: A5 northbound, Bletcham Way – exit and entry slip road closures, lane closure and diversion routes for horticulture.
• A5, from 8pm April 18 to 6am April 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A5 northbound, Redmoor – exit and entry slip road closures.
• A5, from 8 p.m. April 19 to 6 a.m. April 20: small delays (less than 10 minutes): A5 northbound, Portway – exit and entry slip road closures, lane closures, and horticultural diversion routes.
• A5, from 8 p.m. April 22 to 6 a.m. April 23, minimal delays: A5 northbound, Abbey Hill – exit and entry slip road closures, lane closures, and diversion routes.
