According to reports, Sheffield United and Fulham are competing for Rangers striker Kemar Roofe before the summer transfer window opens.
The attacker, who cost £4.5 million to acquire from Belgian Pro League team Anderlecht in August 2020, has played in 99 games and scored 38 goals since joining the Glasgow-based team.

Under Steven Gerrard’s direction, Roofe assisted Rangers in winning the Scottish Premiership over the two

21 season, prior to playing for the Gers team that advanced to the Europa League championship the following year.

The former Leeds United player has only appeared in 12 Premiership games this season as Phillipe Clement’s team attempts to win the Scottish championship due to a number of injury concerns.

Roofe has really not started a league game since the 3-0 victory at St. Mirren on October 8; in that time, he has made 11 substitute appearances in all competitions.

Two Premier League teams are reportedly keeping an eye on Roofe’s circumstances at Ibrox in anticipation of possible summer trades for the winger, according to Football Insider.

According to the source, the 31-year-old, who may be nearing the end of his time in Glasgow, is being pursued by both Sheffield United and Fulham.

Roofe can leave Rangers during the summer transfer window on a free agent’s contract, which expires at the end of the current campaign.

Now that their place in the Premier League has been officially confirmed for another season, Marco Silva’s Cottagers are trying to add more strikers to back up players like Raul Jimenez and Rodrigo Muniz.

In contrast, there’s a good chance that Chris Wilder’s Blades won’t make it back to the Championship, with United being 10 points behind of Nottingham Forest, who are ranked 17th in the top league.

In addition to the Premier League teams stated above, it is believed that Roofe is also being pursued by Southampton and QPR in the Championship on a free transfer in the summer.

The promotion-chasing Saints looked to the summer transfer window for a new striker, but Ross Stewart has been out of the game for the bulk of the season with a muscle problem.

Despite the 27-year-old’s absence, Russell Martin’s team has performed well this season, with Adam Armstrong scoring 20 goals for the South Coast club in the Championship.

owing to fellow striker Michael Frey’s absence owing to a leg injury, QPR has relied heavily on the imposing presence of Lyndon Dykes in attack during recent games.
