The operation was launched following ‘intelligence from the public’
Two individuals, ages 27 and 39, were taken into custody on charges related to money laundering. A GMP spokeswoman claimed that they have since been freed on bond while more investigations are conducted.
“The operation has taken around a month to put together and involved over 40 officers from across Greater Manchester Police,” said Keiron Maddocks, the neighbourhood inspector. The information that the public and people of our community provide, for which we are incredibly appreciative, serves as the foundation.
We can’t take the action that we did this week without the support of the larger community as well as GMP. It takes a team effort. We will always respond to public information, albeit it might not happen right away because it takes time to plan and build action to be taken.
