Panini has expanded its NBA trading card rights with a title sponsorship of the Rising Stars Tournament on February 16, the Friday of the league’s All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis. The Panini Rising Stars tournament will feature the league’s finest sophomores and rookies and will be broadcast on TNT. The rosters will be announced today.
Panini’s sponsorship includes advertising and virtual signs on the TNT coverage, as well as courtside and other arena signage. Panini will activate by providing Rising Stars card packs to attendees and releasing special Rising Stars cards on its Instant platform.
Last year, Nike’s Jordan Brand sponsored the Rising Stars Game.
