Reason why management remains adamant on LOFT’s extension.

The Leyton Orient Fans’ Trust (LOFT) has asked the club to extend the season card renewal deadline in order to provide as many supporters as possible the opportunity to guarantee a seat for next season.

Orient has announced modest increases in season ticket prices for the 2024-25 season, but has moved the renewal deadline two months earlier than last year, giving fans significantly less time to acquire the money.

In a letter issued last week to the O’s chief executive, Mark Devlin, LOFT stated: “We are worried that this unusually early deadline, which occurs before the EFL season officially ends, has not given supporters the time to prepare for what is a considerable one-time investment.

We urge the club to extend the season card deadline by one month to June 3rd.

Tom Davies, LOFT vice-chair, stated: We understand the club’s need to increase revenue to meet rising costs and share their ambitious plans for the team, but at a time of high cost-of-living pressures, many loyal fans risk losing seats they may have sat in for many years due to the lack of time they have been given to find the money to renew. We urge the club to address supporters’ concerns and extend the deadline.

We are awaiting a response to our letter.
