Leyton Orient boss on how many summer signings he wants

The O’s are now in 10th place in the League One table after losing 1-0 at home to Fleetwood Town last time out.

Following the loss, Wellens informed the official club website: “We need some new players. We need four or five new players that can make an impact on our team. There are certain players who we keep asking to perform things week after week, and my tolerance is wearing thin.”

He added: “If we’re satisfied to be little, old Leyton Orient and finish 15th, 16th, or 17th next year, it’ll probably be another good season because next year will most likely be really difficult. I do not want that. I want to be in the playoffs. I want to be competing at the top end of the league. To do that we need to improve.”

Leyton Orient have made significant progress under former Doncaster Rovers, Swindon Town, and Salford City manager Wellens, and he deserves to be supported.

The O’s won the League Two title last year so have adapted well to life in the league above this term.
