According to Grimsby Town manager David Artell, players will find out over the weekend whether or not they receive new contracts.
Many of the players at Grimsby Town have contracts that end this summer.
This season, the Mariners play one more game against Crawley Town on Saturday.
“Yes (they will be informed after the Crawley Town game), there is no point in waiting,” Artell stated to BBC Humberside Sport. Kind of, we already know. We’ll be talking to some people in a very difficult way and to others in a good way. That is just how football at this level is played at this time of year.
“You don’t have to have it for a long period when you have an eight-year contract at Chelsea. That’s what you have to accomplish at this level and this club.

It’s unclear who will stick around as Gavin Holohan, Niall Maher, Arthur Gnahoua, Kieran Green, Harry Clifton, Denver Hume, Anthony Driscoll-Glennon, and Abo Eisa approach the last few months of their individual contracts.
Last time out, Grimsby Town defeated Swindon Town 2-0 at home thanks to goals from Liam Smith and Donovan Wilson, mathematically guaranteeing their spot in the Football League for the upcoming season.
The Mariners have had a difficult season, but the most important thing is that they have survived. Colchester United or Sutton United will join Forest Green Rovers, who are already down.
With 49 points earned, Artell’s team sits 21st in the table and is getting ready for the impending transfer window.
In the next months, their manager will be keen to add his personal touch to the team as they aim for a far better campaign the following time around.
After moving to Blundell Park in late November to take Paul Hurst’s place, the former Crewe Alexandra player has won 25.8% of his games.
Grimsby Town still has one away game remaining at Crawley Town, and the winner of that game will guarantee their spot in the play-offs.
