Stefano Sensi exercised with Inter as usual on Wednesday morning, but Championship club Leicester City is still trying to sign the 28-year-old before the January transfer deadline.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sensi arrived to Pinetina with the rest of the Nerazzurri first team on Wednesday morning and participated in normal training sessions.

The pink paper claims that Inter and Leicester established a deal in principle a few days ago for a fee of roughly €3.5 million, but an official agreement has yet to be made, according to the most recent reports.

According to Calciomercato.com on Tuesday evening, Leicester are trying to sign Sensi on a loan with an option to buy if they are promoted back to the Premier League at the conclusion of the season.

Sensi, on the other hand, is out of contract with Inter in the summer, thus Leicester’s offer may put the Nerazzurri at risk of losing the player for free if the club does not advance this season.

Negotiations continue. Leicester are looking to add midfield reinforcements before the conclusion of the January transfer window, after seeing Italy U21 sensation Cesare Casadei recalled by parent club Chelsea earlier this month.
