A chance was almost produced by a long ball to Jay Stansfield, but Johansson’s heavy touch allowed him to catch it.

Paik Seung-ho’s free kick gave Stansfield the impression that he had given Birmingham the lead, but the assistant referee called it out for offside.

Arvin Appiah had a fantastic opportunity to score on the opposite end after burst forward, but Ruddy held onto his low shot.
