From this time last year, Hudson Greer has jumped 26 ranks to finish No. 28 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite. The junior basketball player from Lake Travis High School in Texas is still considered a five-star prospect, but it seems like Duke basketball recruiters have taken an interest in him recently.

Hudson Greer, a guard with @JL3Elite, stopped by @NikeEYB to provide an update on his recruiting, including news of fresh attention from #Duke, a school he grew up loving due to Coach K.

Maybe eventually, the 6-foot-7, 190-pound polished wing’s apparent enthusiasm in Duke will be matched by the Blue Devils’ interest. He revealed to League Ready that, in the final years of Mike Krzyzewski’s illustrious rule, he was a fan of Durham’s blueblood programme growing up.

Greer did, however, note that in his two years in charge, Jon Scheyer, Coach K’s replacement, has impressed him.

Hudson Greer reminisced on his early days as a Duke basketball fan, “I mean, just growing up, always just seeing guys like Brandon Ingram and Jayson Tatum and, of course, Zion [Williamson],” before expressing his gratitude for Blue Devils who excelled in Durham before to his birth. “And then there’s JJ Redick, whose podcast I’ve been listening to. It’s amazing to watch those guys play basketball and Christian Laettner, whose documentary I really enjoyed.
