Kofi Balmer, who was on loan from AFC Wimbledon, is expected to leave Crystal Palace this summer, according to the South London Press.

After ending a loan to League One Port Vale, the 23-year-old joined the Dons on loan in the January transfer window. During his time at Plough Lane, he has been a mainstay in the team.

In his 15 appearances for Johnnie Jackson’s team, Balmer has shown promise. He scored his first EFL goal in the 2-0 victory at Notts County and contributed to seven clean sheets.

After making over 130 appearances in Northern Ireland, he came from Larne to join Palace’s U21 team in 2022. He made his senior debut for Ballymena United at the age of 16.

In three Premier League games, Balmer was left off the field by former Eagles manager Patrick Vieira. In September 2022, he was called up to the Northern Ireland senior squad and included in the matchday squads against Greece and Kosovo.

Upon the commencement of the upcoming season, the centre-back, who has been used in both a back four and a three for Wimbledon, will have one year remaining on his contract with Palace.
