Road close after tragic incident in altrincham

Emergency Services responded after finding a male in the middle of a road in Altrincham in the early hours of this morning

The 18-year-old man was found unresponsive by ambulance staff at around 5am in the middle of Booth Road close to the junction with Dunham Road in Altriincham.

A forensic tent was seen on Booth Road and many police at the scene conducting enquiries, the roads have reopened again although Booth Road remains closed.

A GMP spokesperson said: ā€œGreater Manchester Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit is investigating an incident on Booth Road in Altrincham.

ā€œAt around 5am this morningĀ  an 18-year-old man was found in the road with serious injuries and despite best efforts of emergency services he tragically passed away at the scene.

ā€œA cordon has been implemented and officers are working at pace to establish the full circumstances surrounding his death and are following up multiple lines of inquiry.
