Emergency Services responded after finding a male in the middle of a road in Altrincham in the early hours of this morning

The 18-year-old man was found unresponsive by ambulance staff at around 5am in the middle of Booth Road close to the junction with Dunham Road in Altriincham.

A forensic tent was seen on Booth Road and many police at the scene conducting enquiries, the roads have reopened again although Booth Road remains closed.

A GMP spokesperson said: “Greater Manchester Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit is investigating an incident on Booth Road in Altrincham.

“At around 5am this morning  an 18-year-old man was found in the road with serious injuries and despite best efforts of emergency services he tragically passed away at the scene.

“A cordon has been implemented and officers are working at pace to establish the full circumstances surrounding his death and are following up multiple lines of inquiry.
